OUR FOUNDER
Meet Dr. Muhammad Masud, MD
Founder | Board-Certified Neurologist
Dr. Muhammad Masud is the founder of Neuro Heart Clinic and leads its neurology division. His work reflects the practice’s commitment to bringing neurological, cardiac, and vascular expertise together in an outpatient setting.
He earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed his neurology residency at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
His clinical interests include stroke and transient ischemic attacks, epilepsy and seizure disorders, migraine management, and EEG testing.

Meet Dr. Yasir Akhtar, MD
Co-Founder | Board-Certified Cardiologist & Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Yasir Akhtar is a co-founder of Neuro Heart Clinic and brings extensive expertise in cardiology, interventional cardiology, and vascular care. His work reflects the practice’s commitment to providing comprehensive heart and vascular care in an outpatient setting.
He earned his medical degree from The Aga Khan University Medical College in Pakistan and completed his internal medicine residency at Indiana University, where he also served as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine. He completed fellowship training in Vascular Biology/Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at the University of Virginia.
His clinical interests include Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC), peripheral vascular interventions, and advanced therapies for complex coronary artery disease.
